Astronaut Character model

This project was part of my degree during my final year in 3D Design, Model making and Digital Art. The project lasted 2 months from initial research, design and final execution. The research was based on what type of needs a typical astronaut would have on a planet such as mars and as such, the design followed these rules. The 3D pipeline began with a base mesh created in 3DS Max along with UV's. This was followed by detail sculpting in zbrush where it would then be retopoligized. The textures and final bake were created in Substance Painter.
